For over 20 years Bike Magazine has been cultivating our passion for mountain biking through the stories of the people, places and innovations that progress our sport to new levels. British Columbia has consistently been part of that narrative.
Nicole Formosa is the editor of Bike Magazine. She joined the magazine in 2013 as its managing editor, following a five-year stint at Bicycle Retailer & Industry News magazine. Nicole studied journalism at the University of Oregon, and started her career in TV news, before becoming a beat reporter at a daily newspaper in Colorado. It was while living in the Rocky Mountains that Nicole bought her first hardtail, a $200 used Novara, and started venturing onto a plethora of high-alpine singletrack. Since then, she’s been fortunate to ride all over the world, but the oxygen-deprived routes in the Tenmile Range above Summit County, Colorado, will always feel like home, as will her current backyard trails in Laguna Beach, California.
Nicole will talk about the power of media, its impact on the how and where we ride and it’s role in trail sustainability.
